What is Lueders limestone?
Lueders limestone (sometimes spelled Leuders) is quarried near the town of Lueders in West Central Texas, northeast of Abilene. It is denser and finer-grained than Austin limestone, so it cuts with crisp edges, holds an even color and weathers slowly. Builders and architects choose it when they want a cleaner, more uniform stone than the softer Central Texas limestones.

Charcoal Lueders runs dark gray to blue-gray. Antique Lueders mixes warm tans and grays for a weathered, old-world look. We also carry smoke and grey buff Lueders. Lueders limestone blocks
Sawn Lueders blocks come in antique (2x4), smoke and charcoal grey (2x4 and 2x5) — sizes in feet, height x depth x length — plus 1x1x4 border blocks in charcoal, grey buff and grey chop. They build retaining walls, seat walls and terraces that set without mortar — the wall in the photo on this page is Lueders block.
Lueders slabs and pavers
Charcoal Lueders raw slabs and charcoal & grey buff Lueders 2x4 pavers come 2.25" thick and are priced per ton — for patios, walkways, pool decks, steps and coping where you want a dense, even stone underfoot.
Lueders chop stone (4-6-8-10)
Wet sawn Lueders chop is cut top and bottom into 4, 6, 8 and 10 inch course heights with a natural split face. It is priced per ton for full-bed masonry on home exteriors, fireplaces, columns, entry monuments and commercial facades.
Lueders thin veneer
Lueders thin veneer is real Lueders stone sawn about 1"–1.25" thick. Flats are priced per square foot and corners per linear foot, about 150 sq ft per pallet — ideal for interior walls, wainscots and remodels where there is no brick ledge.

TradeStone is delivery only. We ship Lueders limestone by the truckload to Dallas, Fort Worth, Weatherford, Colleyville, Southlake, McKinney, Plano, Frisco, Denton, Austin, Waco and job sites across Texas and southern Oklahoma. Freight is quoted per load to your job site.
Allow for waste
Natural stone is trimmed to fit, so order about 10% more than your measured wall area to cover cuts and waste. Our stone wall and thin veneer calculators add the 10% for you.
